What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Lewisville, Texas for the first time?

I booked what I thought was a stripper trip to Lake Lewisville and found out afterward it was sand bass at lake Grapevine. Rode around six hours and caught 9 fish between two people and the guide. Saw others catching fish but we did not have the same luck. I initially posted this review with no comment but was irritated when the guide replied to my 3.7 star review that I was offered a free trip as compensation. The guide offered another trip for $100. I understand luck is a huge part in fishing, but I can’t leave a five star review when I saw others catching more of the same fish and I paid to do the same.

Lots of small crappie. Loads of fun, but threw back a bunch. There are some big ones but not many found our hooks.

Crappie fishing on Lake Lewisville needs to wait until April and the water has had a chance to warm.
