The bay is extremely shallow. I was surprised to find that we were only fishing in two to three feet of water. Spent a lot of time looking for schools of fish.

Today was my wife's birthday. We flew in from New Jersey and could not wait to go fishing. The wind was substantial and made it difficult to catch fish. Captain Joaquin would not give up. We were relentless to find a bite. Our preserverence and determination paid off. We ended up limiting out on trout. Thank you sir for the experience. Whatever the max is on stars, add 10. If there is one thing you do while in SPI, book a trip with Captain Jerry. Best captain I have ever booked. Very knowledgeable and he works to find the fish and did we ever find them. He is an all around great person with much knowledge and great stories. We wouldn’t have needed to catch one fish and it still would have been a great time.
