Emilio grew up in the area and is a true professional guide. His equipment is clean well maintained and ready to work. He knows the waters and the fish instinctively. He has captained numerous offshore boats and has won large tournaments. He will compete for a world record later this year. He is not a guide wannabe trying to make a boat payment. In addition to all that he’s a great guy and a lot of fun! He is known and respected by most guides in the area. Now days bay fishing for trout, redfish, and black drum are his routine. I’ll book with him again ASA

Tough fishing with all the sea grass floating in tide lines every 4 to 10 feet absolutely EVERYWHERE in the bay with crossed currents and competing wind!  I’ve fished all over the world and have taken more charters than I can remember - Capt Emilio is a friendly pro and helped make a great day out of a tough one.  I will absolutely be booking with Capt Emilio next time we’re at SPI to try again.  He came through in a pinch when another charter I had booked cancelled on us the day before with boat/engine issues.  I really appreciate Capt Emilio stepping up and getting us out last minute and am already looking forward to tight lines in the future with him.

Emilio was super helpful showing my son and I the techniques to catch fish. We got on a school of Black Drum and were catching fish one after another. Emilio was friendly, knowledgeable and got us on the fish. Great trip, I highly recommend Emilio’s Fishing Adventures.

Had an enjoyable, entertaining, and educational day of fishing with Emilio’s Fishing Adventures.  With over 30 years of professional experience, Emilio knows his business.  He is also an outgoing individual with lots of stories to tell.  You will also learn something about reading the water, the feeding habits of your prey, and even learn to tell a male from female seatrout.  We fished for seatrout on light rods, using live bait.  It was fun, but definitely tricky to master. During a half day of fishing, we caught seatrout, skipjack, piggy perch, a jack, and a hardhead catfish.  We hooked several seatrout, but only boated four keepers.  We caught several others that were too small and had to go back.  We also lost a lot, but that is more a reflection of the anglers, than the captain.  With a little more practice, we probably could have limited out on the seatrout.

We did not have as much luck with the redfish, but sometimes you catch the fish, other times, they catch you.  Regardless, the day was beautiful, equipment first class, and the boat was spotless.  An overall good trip and we had fresh seatrout for dinner that evening.
