Awesome Day!
Took my son and mother on a split tarpon charter. Captain Zac immediately hit it off with my son by playing music and sharing song selection. Zac was masterful in understanding tide, current and wind. He got us set up and it wasn’t long that we had a 100+ lb tarpon. Landed safely with great video. The evening resulted in non stop action with 9 hookups and 7 landed. One was 150+ with an amazing battle. Zac handled the boat perfectly and always positioned so that all I had to do was enjoy the fight. My son caught 4 tarpon and my mom landed 1. An amazing day and a check off that bucket list. Thank you Zac for an epic day of fishing.

Very pleased with our entire experience with Reel Easy and Capt David. Other than some wind and swells that cannot be controlled, everything was near perfect. The location, marina, and dock were early to find yet small enough to feel comfortable. The boat and fishing equipment were perfect for what we wanted to do. Captain David put us in the fish and man did we catch them until we ran out of bait right at the closing bell. He educated us on what we caught, brought us back and cleaned them on dock. Gave us a bag of the best fillets to take over to the Hurricane Hole and have them prepared for lunch….and Capt David even joined us to eat. We even shared some of the catch with a few locals on the dock and they too went to the Hurricane Hole and had them prepared. Awesome day all around. Highly recommend these guys to anyone coming to Key West.

Have nothing but good things to say about our fishing trip with JJ. It was my son’s first time fishing in the ocean, and I can honestly say he had the time of his life! Started the day catching yellow Jack and we were catching one every cast. My son was catching them so fast he was exhausted from fighting them. All together I think for the day we caught about 7 different kinds of fish. Captain JJ really had a passion for fishing and making sure we had a great time and it showed. Finished the day with a once in a lifetime shark catch in shallow water which was amazing to watch. All in all an amazing guided fishing trip and would recommend this company to anyone! Captain JJ was first class!!! Thanks again for making my son’s dreams come true!

Captain Zac is great! Very knowledgeable about the area, and answered all of our questions about the depth of water, pointed out sights like Hemingway’s burnt down fishing lodge, and most importantly was a very highly skilled teacher. Our group’s skill level was between a rainbow trout expert and a blue gill amateur. He did a great job getting us comfortable with the fishing gear and snappers before moving on to wrangling a 47” 27 lb cobia. Between him being easy going and the trophy fish worth mounting, it’s very easy to recommend him very highly.

Easy to communicate with leading up to the Charter and had an amazing time fishing. It was me and my son (13) and our captain was Zach. He was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. He made the entire day run smoothly. Side Note: Coast Guard was doing routine safety checks, boarded our boat and the boat had everything required on their checklist. Passed with flying colors!
