We booked this trip for our covid honeymoon/1yr anniversary. We had a BLAST with Captain Carlos, Jeremy, and Nick. These guys are super chill, laid back, easy going, and friendly. We went to several diff spots in hopes of getting a few diff fish. We caught plenty of grey snapper, a few grouper, Spanish Mackrel, porgi, and a blow fish or two. My husband and I agree that we had an AWESOME time and it was well worth it. We’d def do it again!!

There are not enough words to describe the amazing crew of this charter!!!!  Being from the north, I have been on far more excursions than can be tallied.  with that said, none have come close to comparison.  Captain Carlos does not just navigate miles, drop anchor, sit for hours, then say let us go try somewhere else…no, no, no…Captain Carlos will only maintain a specifically navigated location for 20 minutes tops!!! No fish caught…we move on to another plotted location.  Captain Carlos keeps such detailed notes, that it seems as though he knows every spot to experience catching, instead of just fishing or feeding…lol.

Jeremy…first mate Jeremy.  An incredibly efficient and proficient deckhand!!! No one has to ask for bait, he is always checking.  When needed, he will take over to help get one in.  He is extremely patient and helpful.  What impresses us all most…Jeremy is a gentleman.  Never has he been rude to any of us, nor the Captain…and his fileting skills? Off the charts…like a chef in a fine restaurant.

Recommend them far higher than 5 stars!!!!

Since this is my first time chartering a boat for fishing,  I can only describe my experience for first timers. If you have kids and you want to take them out on a boat, I’d highly recommend Captain Carlos. He and his first mate Tom, were absolutely amazing! We purchased the 4 hr inshore fishing, because this would be my friend’s son’s first time on a boat and we were not sure how it would go. They absolutely made sure it was all about Blake and knowing that it was for Blake’s 7th birthday, they even played happy birthday on the boat for him. I think without a doubt he caught the most fish. Tom was so knowledgable of the various fish we caught and both Captain Carlos and Tom had a fun infectious attitude. The boat was clean and had plenty of room for us. They made us feel absolutely at home. They were patience with our lack of fishing experiences(the adults)  and just had a grand ole time. I guarantee we won’t be using any other charter the Bottoms Up and will highly recommend to anyone who is interested in going on a charter. Next time I’m in town, hoping we can schedule an offshore charter with him!!

My husband and I took our daughter and her husband on a half day fishing trip with Captain Carlos and his crew- a young man named Jeremy. Carlos took us to all the right fishing spots in the bay and we caught 60 fish. My daughter who was fishing for the first time caught the most fish and was thrilled. Carlos would keep moving the boat once the fishes we caught started slowing down, to the next fish area based on his fish finder app. Jeremy helped us a lot with putting bait and getting the fish off the hook and storing it. Both were very knowledgeable about the type of fish in the area and had a very friendly, happy, attitude. Once we got back to shore, Jeremy and Carlos cleaned all the fish. The boat was clean and comfortable and we had a wonderful experience!

This is my second trip with Captain Carlos and his crew. I would highly recommend them to anyone of my friends or family.
