Fishing was tough this morning. Fish weren’t biting. Captain Clay took us to quite a few places, the dolphins were everywhere. The tides weren’t supposed to start till after 10 am and we had a thunderstorm coming in on the gulf. We caught 10 of the vermillion and 1 red snapper that was a keeper. Several that weren’t big enough to keep. Captain Clay was very apologetic about us not catching more than we did. He did clean our fish when we return to shore. Even though we didn’t catch a lot of fish, the trip was very enjoyable. It was very relaxing to my husband and I. We hope to come back soon.

Jake tried hard to find fish. They were just not in the mood to bite!!! It had been cooler and temperature of water was not conducive to them biting. Did catch a few sheepshead. Also a few Red Snapper but had to throw back as not in season. Had originally booked offshore trip for 6 hours but due to weather / wind had to stay inshore. The offshore probably would have produced more fish/ different species. Try again next time!!!!
Capt. Jake was very personable and skilled, both with boat positioning and fishing. He knew where the fish were and had the right equipment for us to have a successful and enjoyable trip. Highly recommend Capt. Jake for everyone but especially experienced/serious anglers.
My husband and son went on the shark fishing trip with Captain Clay and together caught a 6.5’-7’ bull shark. It was an amazing and memorable experience. Definitely recommend!
