Great PM trip today aboard Aluminauti! This has been a great year for coho! Never have we seen coho sticking around the Twin Ports this late in the season. Offshore winds have kept the water cold amd the fish hungry! Light leadcores are working as well as shallow dipsys and shallow downriggers, all in the top 35 ft of the water column. Spoons and flasher flies have been producing! Tight lines! -Capt Jamie

Changing winds have us changing up the programs. Fish are higher in the column than they have been for the couple of weeks. Short leadcores and shallow downriggers with sliders have been productive. As we move to summer patterns and techniques, we are transitioning from fishing the top 10-15ft with stick baits and shallow dipsy divers to adding in some downriggers, and leadcores with spoons. We are finding good water temps down to around 45-55ft. Lakers are eating with coho becoming less frequent. The kings are slowly starting to show up. This will be a memorable year for coho as they are bigger than in years past, assumably due to this years herring fry boom. Tight lines! -Capt James Happy Hooker “Aluminauti”
