The shark fishing is beginning to heat up off of the Kennedy Space Center and Cocoa Beach. With the coldest part of winter bebind us, the waters of the Atlantic Ocean are beginning to warm up. This means the sharks are more active and beginnig to push in closer to the beachs. Shark trips are an awesome choice for groups with younger kids or action packed vacation schedules. On these 4 hour trips we fish just a few miles away from Port Canaveral within sight of land. The run time is minimal, which means plenty of time for fisbing. Once you get to your destination the captain will push the anchor out. They will then toss out a couple chunks of bait on some pretty big rods with 100 lb test. You can either pop open a cold drink and relax in the shaded cockpit while waiting for a bite or grab a smaller rod and enjoy the normally non stop action from the croakers, whiting, and trout. One of my favorite things about sharks is how hard they fight. The power and strength of a shark on the end of the line is quite impressive.
