The fall is one of my favorite times to fish, the fish are in transition and the bite is usually red hot this time of year.
The Amberjack have been on fire on most of our steel nearshore wrecks and have provided our anglers with non stop action on our recent trips in the Gulf. These fish are made of solid muscle and are one of the hardest fighting fish in the Gulf state waters.
As for the inshore bite it is redfish time, the redfish spawn has begun and is getting better by the day. Many of our anglers have been catching bull reds which makes for a tremendous fight and a beautiful picture. A “bull red” is a redfish over 27 inches, this classifies it as a breeder which means you cannot keep them, however they are the best fight you can get inshore and make memories that will last a lifetime!
