The a.m. trout bite has been picking up with the spring weather pattern in effect. False Albacore tuna briefly showed up a couple weeks ago, then disappeared. Water temps are rising, so good chance of them showing back up any day now just off the beach. Also finding schools of black seabass just a few miles off the beach.

With the dropping water temps, the fish are feeding frequently. We are starting to catch limits of speckled trout and red drum. Along with those, also seeing some sheepshead, bluefish, and gray trout (weakfish).

We are catching drum, speckled trout, and flounder inshore in the creeks and marsh areas, although we are finding lots of fish and bait, they can be picky at times. Also, sea mullet (southern kingfish) have showed up in great numbers around the inlet. These are fun to catch for the whole family. Along with the sea mullet, grey trout (weakfish) and bluefish have also moved in and are willing to bite just about anything you throw.
