Go out on a guided tour with TC Fishing Guide Service. He is a wonderful teacher how to fish, where, and why. We went to at least 10 different spots. The drive between spots was the longest time we weren't catching fish. Our average was at least one fish caught every two minutes. Learning how to fish the jig and where to fish it is huge. And, seeing top water action and getting there in time is as much luck as skill. There is no substitute for the knowledge that TC brings to the table. That would get anyone off to a solid running start on their Belton Lake fishing future adventures.

The early morning hours of fishing are very pleasent. With a slight breeze and a knowlegable guide you can't go wrong. I would go again in August as long as it was in the A.M.

Was on fire early AM. It’s slowing up by noon. Excellent first timers fishing experience! Lots of fish were caught!!

Use “The Fishing Guy” guide service to make the most of your experience. It is a really big lake and Guy knows how to find the fish!

Even if you own your own boat, it may benefit you to use the services of a Veteran guide who knows the lake to put you on fish.

This was our first time slabbing! The 3 of us limited out on white bass after 4 hours. Follow the diving Terns!

Use Tommy Cochran. Has been fishing lake Belton for decades and knows the lake. Dress warmly. Was very patient with my teenage boys.

The white bass were very active between 7 and 8:30 am. We caught 48 in that time frame. We had good luck off Temple Lake Park. We went on a cloudy morning after two days of rain.

Look for fish with depth finder schooling near the bottom in 23-35 feet of water
