Fishing was tough this morning. Fish weren’t biting. Captain Clay took us to quite a few places, the dolphins were everywhere. The tides weren’t supposed to start till after 10 am and we had a thunderstorm coming in on the gulf. We caught 10 of the vermillion and 1 red snapper that was a keeper. Several that weren’t big enough to keep. Captain Clay was very apologetic about us not catching more than we did. He did clean our fish when we return to shore. Even though we didn’t catch a lot of fish, the trip was very enjoyable. It was very relaxing to my husband and I. We hope to come back soon.

I had a great time on the water with Cpt. Noah! Very knowledgeable and professional, but most importantly, you can honestly tell he loves his job! He left 4 of us baited and fishing all day. He was very patient with us being new to offshore fishing. I broke the line many times from wrong reeling in and he replaced it with a bit of advice.

The ONLY constructive criticism that I have is the amount of water that was provided by the charter. There were 5 of us including Cpt and there were only 8 small bottles of water and a cpl reg size bottles. Thank God we brought 4 Gatorades and some sodas. There was little breeze that day and weather app said feels like temp was 105. 6 hours of 105 temp without fluids is the perfect storm for heat exhaustion/stroke.

Overall, it was a great experience with Cpt. Noah and we’ll do it again if we are ever back in the Orange Beach/Pensacola area. Thanks Cpt Noah! 👍👏
