Just getting home from Summer in Alaska, arriving back to Carrabelle Florida for some beautiful fall weather. Took Kristine W. out on a half day charter, fishing was a bit slow earlier in the week but picked up for her trip. having live pinfish definitely helped, caught the biggest redfish on cut ladyfish. Several nice trout came on popping corks and jigs rigged with berkeley gulp and live pinfish. fishing will improve with the consistent weather and stronger tides coming up. through the end of the month of October. trout fishing has been a little hit and miss, however some big ones up to 25 inches have been landed. I took out Bob and his wife Sarah, they are long time offshore fishermen who wanted to do some inshore and im glad they chartered me, they fished hard, caight some nice trout and redfish, the bite was slow no doubt but the perfect weather made up for it!

The weather has been perfect for inshore fishing around carrabelle, some nice catches of redfish and trout mostly on soft plastics and jigs. Had a great day with Ben and Coop. Seeing lots of sealife on the grass flats, rays and turtles and LOTs of mullet!

The fishing around carrabelle and the forgotten coast is definitely heating up with the weather. Redfish numbers are very good, some days have been as good as it gets, with catches into the 20-30 fish plus days. We have been focusing on the rising tide throwing soft plastics on jig heads, jerk baits and paddle tails. Looking for the mullet and sandy potholes is key for the redfish. Trout action is getting good on the flats and especially the deeper potholes near the flats.

Last 10 days had seen the fall trout bite get into full swing, fishing popping corks and jigs with paddle tails in electric chicken color, berkley gulp or live shrimp will all do the job.
