I grew up on sportfish boats and have fished everywhere from Massachusetts to St. Thomas, USVI and the Gulf of Mexico. However offshore South Florida is home. I got my captain's license at 19 and have been on boats ever since. So when you book Finest Kind you're getting home-grown fishing experience, not someone who left the rat race up north, bought a boat and thinks he can make a go of it.

Had Adam and his two boys out for a short trip this afternoon. They caught a few blackfins and had a great time. Spring fishing is definately on!

Last few trips have been productive with blackfin tuna & kingfish up to 30lbs taking center stage. Lots of action with bonito as well. Our mahi mahi fishing has been a slow pick on small fish and small schools. The good news is they have been in tight from **hidden content**’ of water mixed in with the blackfins and kings. Blue water and a lot of small flying fish has pushed in with dense scattered weed.

Worked our way through unsettled weather & scattered weed but had a decent pick of kingfish. Michael had just remarked that he’d never caught a tuna. The words were barely off his lips when a stud blackfin decided to join the fray! Ended the trip with 5 kings, a mahi & a blackfin tuna.
