Hunter had us laughing the whole time. Both John and Hunter have been doing this for years. They know all the places to fish. Very knowledgeable about fishing and communication was great with both.❤️

My son who is a seasoned fisherman landed a 33 inch bluefish on his first cast bottom fishing for blackfish.. We were all surprised! We caught a handful of Blackfish (which are very fun to fish for) The captain (John) and the mate (Hunter) were very friendly and accommodating. Our kids had a great time and so did I. We received a nice history lesson on the local fishing of Ocean City.. We will definitely be back with these guys!

We booked a family flounder trip and had a great time! He was very knowledgeable and patient. He even made sure to include our children when reeling in, netting, and measuring the fish. He did a great job cleaning the fish and we left with a few in the cooler. 10/10 would recommend.

Captain put us on the fish immediately! We caught fish the entire time we were fishing. 22 keepers of Black Sea bass in November!! Can’t wait to book another trip!

Captain Vince knows where to find fish and how to catch them. Within 4 hours of our trip, we caught 30+ fish including sheepshead, tatugo, black drum, puffer fish, etc. The entire trip was filled with laughters, fun stories and special edition ginger ales. Our deck hand Veronica was also very sweet and helpful. We had my son’s best friend with us, and I have never seen him this happy. Captain Vince and Veronica created our life time memory in a beautiful November Sunday afternoon.

I have fished with split bill multiple times and every trip I am reminded why I never even consider going anywhere else. Andy and Casey do what ever it takes to put you on the fish. They are not afraid to take you where the fish are instead of following the fleet to the spots that get beat up on a daily basis. I highly recommend these guys for anyone looking for a top notch offshore fishing experience!!!

These guys were very experienced and super friendly. We caught a sand bar shark with in minutes of casting out lines. Highly recommend fishing with these guys. We can't wait to go back out next summer.

Went out with these guys a four times and got right on the fish caught my first swordfish with them once we hooked up with the first one we brought three more in and lost one and then we thought we had another one and it was a big eye tuna. It was 104 pounds. Their first mate Bryan jones is one best guys out there I already have a couple trips booked this year for 2024 with them and can’t wait.

This was my first trip offshore fishing and a trip I’m sure glad to have taken. Captain Nick knows how where and when to drop line for fish. The rest of the crew are super easy to get along with and always on top of everything. Book a trip now you won’t regret it!

Loved it. Like fishing with a family member (one that you like). Super chill, prompt, professional. Knows where the fish should be, and if they aren't, has a back up to the back up location. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip and the instant comraderie. Able to immediately offer assistance and techniques to ensure you are doing the right thing to get a successful hook up. Would not hesitate to rebook or recommend.

Brought my two young daughters fishing and it was exactly we we wanted and asked for. Friendly captain with a stable boat and we caught many fish! I will bring the kids back for another round for sure!

The captain was very friendly and had everything in the boat well organized. He made sure the kids caught fish even though the flounder weren't biting too well. The small black sea bass were biting everywhere.

First time out with Captain Austin Pryor on the Hillbilly Express October 2023 in Harker's Island NC. Captain Austin was very knowledgeable about the fishing area, what to target, and bait to use. Extremely well versed navigating the waters, some which were very difficult conditions. Caught a bunch of King Mackerel, Amberjack, False Albacore, Spanish Mackerel, and other species. Already booked the same week again on the Hillbilly!

Aaron and his crew took us out to the canyon for Tuna fishing. We had a wonderful time and were able to catch 2 nice size tuna. The mate and Aaron are experts in knowing Tuna habits thus leading to a very successful day for fishing. Great experience shared by all and we intend to make this an annual outing and will definitely use them. Their honesty, knowledge and hospitality are highly exceptional. Can’t wait for the next adventure on the Ocean Hunter.
