Hoping to catch some fish in Long Beach? Look no further than Southern California Adventure! Your guide for the day is Captain Ryan, which means you’ll tap into years of sportfishing experience.

Species like Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, California Yellowtail, Mako Shark, Calico Bass, Pacific Barracuda, Halibut, Rockfish, California Sheephead, and more can be found in these waters, depending on the time of year. On these trips, you can expect to troll, bottom fish,  cast lures and paddy hop using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Ryan also accommodates saltwater fly fishing, but you need to bring your own fly gear.

Your boat for the day is a 42’ Cruiser for up to 6 guests. It comes with all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Ryan has trolling rods and reels for you.

Trips are run with the help of a First Mate. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.

Before coming aboard, you’ll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

A few items to bring include sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
