These waters are known for Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Pacific Barracuda, Mahi Mahi, White Marlin, Pompano, Sailfish, Swordfish, Albacore Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, and more – with any luck, they’ll make your reel scream. For these species, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish.
Ricardo Michel welcomes kids aboard, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own.
Your excursion begins aboard a 24’ Grady-White motor yacht with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has a fighting chair and all the essentials. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but you should ask the captain whether you’ll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.
You will need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off-limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect. It’s always wise to bring sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks for you on board.
Now’s the time to experience fishing in Manzanillo for yourself, with Vivolo Sport Fishing!
