Awesome day on the water with captain Jason. Morning bite was great with 5 reds in the first hour. Even with conditions not being ideal, Jason got us on the fish. We moved around and got on some trout and flounder later in the day. Jason mentioned this was a “slow day”, and it was still better than most charters I’ve done before, so I could not reccomend him any more. Even for someone who fishes the Bay Area regularly, I learned a lot from him. He puts you in the fish and genuinely cares about the client, waterways, and giving a good time.

Had an offshore trip cancelled due to some bad weather, so we decided to try and find a last minute 6hr inshore charter. JC was recommended to us and we weren’t disappointed. He got on the sheepshead right away and some quality ones too. We ended the day catching redfish after redfish, and while they weren’t large due to the time of year, they were still fun! JC was great, super helpful and very conversational. We exchanged many fishing stories and had a great time. 100% recommend JC and you will not he disappointed by the fishing, as well as his fun energy.

I booked JC while in Florida in late October and on short notice. He worked around the days I needed As I only had two available days I could fish. As for the fishing, once we got to the first spot he didn’t disappoint. He worked very hard to find and to get us on fish. He was very well prepared as he brought different types of bait so we could target anything we could find. He was very knowledgeable, taught me some tricks, and most importantly he found us an awesome spot loaded with sheepshead. I caught more sheepshead than I ever have. Back to back and over and over. But I also caught my new PB!! 🙌. We did have bad luck with heavy wind, due to this he also stayed over to try his best to help me find one more fish. The best thing about the day was he made it feel like you were fishing with a friend, not someone you didn’t know. This made it more fun and I will definitely be booking JC again the next time I’m in the Tampa, FL area.
Oh and one more thing, he has an awesome beanbag chair which is the most comfortable ride I’ve ever had on a boat 🛥️ 😂👍.

Weather ended up being really bad during the daytime, Captain JC made the right call and offered a night time fishing trip same day when the weather was way better. We had opportunities all night long targeting redfish, snook, tarpon and trout. We lost count of fish in the first 2 hours. After we lost count he asked if i wanted to try for my first tarpon and redfish on the fly rod and i was more than down. Jumped 3 tarpon in the first 20 minutes but all unfortunately spit the hook. Landed about 6-7 more redfish on the fly rod and told Captain JC to pick up a rod because the fishing was unreal and i had already caught an unbelievable amount of fish halfway into the trip. I highly highly recommend Captain JC to anyone. If you’re an experienced fishermen or not, Captain JC is one heck of a teacher and full of knowledge.

I’ve been on two charters with Captain JC and both experiences have greatly exceeded my expectations. Right off the bat, he was extremely friendly and took the time to ask me questions in order to make my experience as successful as possible. He led me straight to the fish and offered great advice on how to catch them, which I did. By the end of each trip I had caught so many fish that my arms were already sore! On top of that, he impressed me with his professionalism and dedication to making my experience the best it could be. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better day of fishing with a great captain at an affordable price. 10/10 would recommend
