Jake, Ron, and Zach specialize in light-spinning tackle fishing, which you’ll be doing on the day of your trip. They will provide rods and reels. Depending on the season, you might hook into Largemouth Bass, Peacock Bass, Snakehead, and anything else that bites. You can keep any Snakehead you catch, while Bass is catch and release.

This father and son’s fishing team has been fishing for Peacock Bass in South Florida since the early 1990s, and they know over 70 spots to take you to. Most are small ponds or lakes.

Up to 4 total anglers can join these excursions. You’ll be fishing without a boat, so expect to make your way on foot at least part of the time and come dressed for current weather conditions. There is not a lot of walking, so don’t worry if you’re not physically able to walk a long distance.

All 3 of the guys will provide transportation. You will meet at the local bait & tackle store with the best shiners so you can pay for your live bait for that day. They will get in touch to find out more the day before to let you know where you will meet – you can even send a quick message below.

Be sure to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group beforehand. You can find out more online, including exceptions that may apply. Be sure to dress in suitable footwear (if you aren’t sure what that means, ask). It’s never a bad idea to bring sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, and bottled water, no matter the weather. Since we will be fishing in South Florida, having a rain jacket is not a bad idea.

Ronald will have drinks for you; if you wish to bring your own, simply ask. This is a kid-friendly experience, so feel free to bring the whole family along and pack any snacks they need.
