My husband and I have four active boys who love being outdoors, and spend countless hours on the lakes in Maine fishing. We are currently on vacation and decided to surprise them today with this fishing charter. Captain Ethan provided us with a wonderful experience as a family. Many smiles, and laughs were shared by all and we cannot thank Capt. Ethan enough for his patience, assistance, and the joy of fishing that he shared with our boys today.

Our family (2 adults, 2 kids: 5 and 8 yrs old) had so much fun with Captain Ethan! He worked really hard the whole trip and took us to multiple different inshore locations to find as many fish as possible! We caught 4 or 5 different species and was great teaching us how to cast out, hold the rod, etc. Would definitely recommend to others and would rebook if we do again on a future trip!

Captain Ethan was incredible. We had some last minute changes on our trip which opened up a morning to do some fishing. I booked the trip through the site for my brother and I less than 24 hours prior to the requested time, on a weekend, and within 5 minutes Captain Ethan sent me a text letting me know what to bring and what to expect. He clearly communicated throughout the process, he was early to the dock and ready to roll, and he had us on the fish the moment our hooks hit the water. We caught a variety of fish from grey snapper, bonita, flounder, grouper, pufferfish, shark, catfish, and a really nice sea trout. I don’t think there was a time where we went longer than a minute without bait on our hook or poles in the water. He was relentless in making sure we had a good time, whether that meant chasing some bonita off in the distance that were surface feeding schooling fish, or fishing off the bottom when that action wasn’t present. We on average had 4 poles in the water which is a huge feat for a one man team. There were a dozen times where he would’ve landed a fish himself and was only focused on passing the pole to assist the other fisherman with baiting or removing a fish. In our 4 hour trip we brought on roughly 30-40 fish between two of us and he was great about sharing what they were and any knowledge he had on them. He even took the time after to clean our keepers and recommend a local place that would cook them for us. Really couldn’t say enough about our experience with Captain Ethan and we’re already looking forward to the next one!

My 8 y/o son had his first sea-fishing experience.  Capt. Ethan was excellent with ‘warming’ him up to this new adventure.. By the end of the trip, my son was an independent beginner( mostly…lol) casting long strides, baiting his own line, holding the fish with bare hands, and worked as a team to pull in the bigger fish.
At the end of our fun yet challenging trip, he did a victory front-flip in the water to cool off. All the way home he kept reminding me about his baby shark that broke the line…“Mom, you didn’t get a picture. Nobody’s gonna belive me about my fish story: The one that Got Away :-)
