There’s a fish with your name on it in Summerland Key and Target Charters will help you catch it!
Mahi Mahi, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, Black Grouper, Mutton Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Tarpon, Mangrove Snapper, Amberjack, Permit, and more are in the cards, depending on the conditions.
During the trip, you might be spinning, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. John can also help you try kite fishing. For the more adventurous among you, there’s spearfishing.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets grumpy on an empty belly!
You’ll be casting lines from a 27’ C-Hawk pilothouse boat with space for 4 passengers. It comes with outriggers, downriggers, and everything else you need for a productive day on the water. Capt. John will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is seasonally available.
You might need to buy a local fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
Don’t forget to bring sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Lunch is provided for an additional fee, just reach out to learn more, especially if you have any dietary needs.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. So make it happen, with Target Charters!
