Spend a day fishing with Vera Vita Sportfishing and have a memorable time exploring the nearshore and offshore waters of Florida. You and Captain Cody Bailey will meet in Islamorada and embark on a fun-packed trip to the area’s bountiful waters, reefs, as well as wrecks. The captain will use all his skills to put you on the fish and help you have the best time possible. Join him aboard and try to land a great catch!
Your day begins on a 38’ Stolper Custom Express offshore sport fishing boat. It can fit up to 6 guests, runs on twin 450 Cummins engines, and uses GPS, a fishfinder, and a radio. It’s also equipped with outriggers and a livewell.
You can use the boat’s portable toilet if needed and there’s also an ice-box for storing fish or drinks. A first mate will join you aboard as well and give you any help you may need.
There are many great species you can catch on your trip, some of them being Snapper, Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Swordfish, and Sailfish. The fishing techniques at your disposal include bottom fishing, deep sea fishing, trolling, spinning, jigging, drift fishing, as well as kite fishing. You’ll keep your catch and you can bring kids on the trip.
Bring some food and drinks and you’ll be ready to come aboard. Captain Cody provides the fishing gear, licenses, as well as catch cleaning.

- Lebendköder (Most of the time we stop for live bait. Sometimes we have bait penned up and dont have to stop. Sometimes we dont stop if we are on a short day fishing for yellowtails for example. Bait is also available for purchase from a local live bait guy.)

- Säubern & Filetieren (We clean and bag your catch at the end of the day with no extra charge. It is part of our services and included in the day rate. There is a local fish shipper in town that we can set you up with as well. )
- Deckhelfer (We do use a first mate on the vera vita. We use top of the line professional crew only. Atleast a 20% tip is customary for the mate after every day of fishing. They work very hard. )
- Angelschein (We have a license on the boat that covers every angler on board. No need to purchase a license to come fishing on the vera vita)
