Texas is home to the vast Trinity River, which is often considered by hardcore anglers to be the best bowfishing destination in the US. Lakes around Corpus Christi and Houston, as well as tributaries that feed into the Gulf, also provide ample opportunities. Bowfishing is reserved purely for inshore fishing grounds, meaning you’ll travel less and fish more. April a little early in the season for reds, some days good, some slower. Fishing improves in May and red hot in June and July. Good fishing for reds until December but they move around. Incredible lake! We live in NW SA and were home in a half an hour. Incredible!
