It started out slow with sharks and lost bait and tackle but once we moved out a few more miles and the tide conditions turned favorable, we were on the Spanish mackerels thanks to the flocks of seagulls giving for minnows. Captain Zack was awesome and made sure we had a great time!!! We are coming back for more!

Had a full day inshore charter with Zack on 6/14. Inshore bite was off so we decided to run out to fish Spanish Mackerel. Zack put us on fish, great thing was if we weren’t getting bit, we weren’t sticking around. He constantly moves to put u on fish. Been with other captains who don’t want to burn fuel and stay stationary for long periods of time to better their profits. Was sceptical about the eating of the Mackeral but after Zack told us to blacken them I figured we’d give it a shot.... Mehr

6 of us set out to catch anything that swims. The fishing was a little slow but Ben worked extremely hard to get us to some action. We had 3 people who had never fished in salt water and each brought in a fish. Boated 1 nice Cobia and a couple of sharks. It was a fun day.

Capt Joe and Ben were top notch, they were really great with small kids (7yr and 4yr). My son was a bit nervous at first but had the time of his life. The boat and equipment were also in excellent shape. I would love to do it again.

You win some you lose some. Catching fish isn’t a guarantee… for the price point it would of been nice to catch one decent fish at least for my two boys. We struck out better luck another time!

Agreed, it was a crummy fishing outing. The conditions were challenging to say the least. The wind blew up in the afternoon, 15mph coming from the east and the seas were 2 to 3 feet. We made our best attempt to get to an artificial reef a few miles off the coast, but had to turn around due to the rough conditions. This reef is our honey hole in May and June. We fished 3 other fishing holes in the Port Royal Sound, but were overwhelmed with sharks. We tried our hardest to get fish in the cooler, but unfortunately this time we got skunked.

Our charters prices have increased significantly due to the cost of fuel. The gas prices have increased 3x’s since 2020 to over $6 a gallon. Fuel is now a charter owners highest operational expense. Unfortunately there is no end in site for these sky high gas prices. If fuel wasn’t so outrageously expensive we’d be able to run our business at a more reasonable price point.

The thumbs down should be directed to the politicians in DC who have allowed fuel to become a commodity that’s becoming as expensive as gold.

We started out with a half day (6 hour) offshore trip which Zack and TailHunter were more than happy to accommodate our request for a later departure time since we are not morning people. Motion sickness and uncooperative fish unfortunately cut our outing short and we ended up converting to a 4 hour nearshore trip where the water was calmer. Captain Zack was very knowledgeable and helpful. His boat was plenty big for the 4 of us and our coolers. We will definitely book again next time we are... Mehr
