We went out at 1030 with my Step Dad, Fiancé, and 2 other best friends. Had amazing weather, reeled in 35+ pounds of Spanish Mackerel, Blue and Albacore Tuna. Had so much fun trolling or whatever you call it. We drank and fished and had a spectacular day. Could not have asked for better weather and the boat had ac to cool off if we wanted. Pack your lunch and be ready to catch some yummy fish for dinner. We baked and fried up so much fish. There were 6 of us and we had some Spanish mackerel for the first time and it was delicious. Very much enjoyed our day. Will definitely do it again on our next trip to OBX.

We really enjoyed our 4 hour late AM half day in-shore fishing trip with the Captain and mate of the Half Fast. We were able to slow troll and catch 23 Ribbon Fish. I know this isn’t the most popular fish caught in OBX, but it really is a great tasting fish. We also managed to let about 8 fish weasel their way off our lines, so it was a very active time out on the water. It was myself and four kids ages 11 to 17, and everyone enjoyed themselves. I want to give special created to the crew who worked very hard to make sure we had a great time and we’re extremely awesome at their jobs!

My youngest has already asked if we can go out deep sea fishing after some yellowfin or sport fish on next years trip down to OBX, which I think we will book again with Half Fast. Thanks to the skipper and his first mate Sara!

My buddy and I were on vacation in Waves for a week and decided to take the kids on a half day trip with Half-Fast.  The boat was awesome and the captain and first mate were great.  We ended up slow trolling for Ribbon Fish and the kids had a ball.  We ended up with quite a few fish, probably 15 to 20.  I never caught this species but it was definitely fun.  They kind of look like a mix between and eel and baracuda.  The captain and 1st mate were very friendly and did an awesome job.  Want to bump it up to a full day off shore next time we go!!

Our late morning inshore fishing was a bit slow due to an approaching weather system . Capt. Devlin and First Mate Stephen worked very diligently to locate Kung Mackerel. We were successful to find and land fish. Other boats went in empty handed as we heard over radios.
A very good Captain and experienced First Mate. Would recommend to anyone coming to ONX, NXLC to charter this boat.

Great Experience! My 8 year old reeled in a large ribbon fish minutes into our outing! Limited in the type of fish we caught but the numbers overtime were awesome 24 total ribbon fish in four hours!!! First mate Steven was excellent! Great conversation and perspective on the available catch! His patient hand with our son was immeasurable! Fun was had by all!!
