We have been on guided fishing trips with more than 100 fishing guides so we are no novices when it comes to the game!

What makes for a great day for me is pretty simple! I want a guide that will teach me what we are doing and why! I want a guide that clearly knows what they are doing! And, I want a guide that is at least pleasant to be in the boat with!

Well, Captain Larry Bell checks all of those boxes and gets an A+ across the board! What a pleasant departure from some of the “old salts” that you can tell are just going through the motions.

I totally recommend this gentleman and will be fishing with him again as soon as possible!

PS ... that black drum was caught on the last cast of the day and Captain Larry was at least as excited as I was when we landed it if not more excited!!!

I had a great time fishing and learning from Capt. Larry.  Very knowledgeable and wants to help you learn. I’ve fished artificial and waded for some time but walked away today having learned a few things.  I was extremely lucky to capture the Texas Slam today due to a truly professional guide.  Great day, I will diffidently contact Capt. Larry in the future.

Had a great time on a full day trip with Captain Larry. Captain Larry was excellent at putting us on reds and trout while teaching us about picking the right spots and times to fish. I learned a ton that I can take home and use to be better on my hometown lake. The best part of the trip was how Captain Larry interacted with everyone on his boat. Ensuring he knew everyone’s name and giving equal attention for all members of our party.  My 5 year old even got to claim her own island aptly named P-shell Island (formerly piggy island). We all got to enjoy my daughter catching her first saltwater water fish, major proud dad moment.

If you have kids this is the Captain for you. Incredibly patient and genuine with my daughter which was awesome for her first trip our on a boat of this size.

Constantly working to make our experience memorable while being courteous, professional and personable. I cannot recommend Captain Larry highly enough. Looking forward to our next trip to hook another full day!

Went out for a half day wading the flats with Larry and had a great time.  Within ten minutes of booking he was very responsive and absolutely punctual.  He called right away, we talked, he followed up the day before our trip and was right on time the day of.  Excellent fishing knowledge, and he was particularly good teaching my girlfriend how to cast and work a lure on her first time out.  She was really pleased with the right amount of hands on but also leaving her to do her thing and work it out on her own.

Larry put us on some nice spots, we caught some nice fish, and couldn’t have had a better morning.  He is a really good guy and I’d recommend booking with him wholeheartedly.  Have fun!

We had the most amazing fishing trip with Captain Larry Bell today. The weather was iffy, but Captain Larry navigated around the weather and we missed the storms. We had never fished with lures and artificial bait before but are now “hooked”on this method of fishing and on wade fishing. Captain Larry (very patiently) taught us how to fish this way. We caught some great fish, had a fantastic day and learned a lot in the process. We can’t wait to book with Captain Bell again!  We have used other guides in the past and Highly recommend Captain Bell!
