Got a text from Captain Chad that the water was choppy and he was going to leave it up to us if we wanted to still go out. We really appreciated the heads up!

We are SO glad that we did decide to go out!!!!! We had a BLAST and caught some amazing fish!

Both Captain Chad and his first mate (Nano), were very knowledgeable. They knew the spots to go to give us the best chances of catching something. And boy did we catch a variety!!! Even got to see a whale shark!

Make sure you listen to them… fishing deep sea is much different than fishing in a lake (the only place we had ever fished). And in rough water, listen to them when they say don’t go into the cabin because it makes any seasickness worse. Haha

No one puked, everyone had an AMAZING time and we would do it all over again!!!

Capt. and first mate were awesome. We arrived almost two hours early and they were willing to accommodate us by starting our charter ahead of schedule. Once on board Captain Chad went over all the required safety protocols and off we went. The whole time heading out, there was good conversation and once anchored up there was even better fishing (catching). We will be sure to book again with these guys as they were not only positive and fun but put us on some awesome fish! Thanks guys

We had an awesome trip with Capt. Chad and Nano. We had so much fun learning different fishing techniques, seeing the sites, and of course catching fish. The vessel has everything you need . You won’t find a better charter.

Captain and crew did amazing putting us on fish!  Catching tuna and mahi mahi.  We were able to kite fish which is only done here in Florida.  At the end of the day I was very fortunate that reel in a 6-7 ft bull shark.  What a fight that was and my fiancé as well as myself felt very safe the entire trip.  We will coming back out with this boat and crew when we are in south Florida!

We had a fabulous time on the water with Chad and Nano. Caught lots of fish, enjoyed beautiful weather and had lots of laughs. They even got our 20 year old daughter to reel in a catch- and she had previously insisted that she would opt of the fishing. This was a very memorable and special experience for our family of 6. I can’t recommend Old Hat enough!
