Had an amazing time. Couldn’t recommend Lucky 1 highly enough. Knew it was going to be rough getting out due to the wind but decided to push through anyway. It was rough trolling for a little bit but the big sailfish probably hit 60 minutes after we had our bait out. Spent the rest of the afternoon reeling in SkipJack and Mahi. Once the beautiful sun was high in the sky, we enjoyed a beautiful ceviche lunch. It really is as good as everyone on here says it is. We stopped on the way back in for a dip and when we arrived to the marina, everyone else’s charters came over to our boat to see all of our fish because no one else had caught anything all day. We were the Lucky 1’s last Saturday.

We just got back from the best family adventure that we have ever had!! First of all, the booking and communications with the captain prior to our trip to PV were above any expectations that I had. Then we met Jose and Eric at 7am sharp for an 8 hr excursion combining fishing and snorkeling.
They put us on fish immediately. We caught a nice sized Jack just right for Eric to whip s up some Ceviche for a late morning snack…UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Then we switched to live bait and landed a real nice Jack that fought like h_ll… I think it was around 30lbs or so. My wife and daughter both caught their first fish ever and still have smiles on their faces!!
If you are looking to book a charter PV you MUST give these guys a try! We know we will be back next year!

The captain and first mate were great and spoke enough English to make the 6 hour trip full of knowledgeable information about the area a species we were fishing for. I was a little skeptical about the older gear we were fishing with but we spent the day catching more fish then most boats around us. So apparently using what works over new gear was paying off for our crew. Caught around 20 Bonito in closer before moving a little further out to try for other species. There we got into more Bonito and hooked into a decent size Crevalle that we landed on the boat. At the same time another rod went off that straightened the old rusty hooks and could have cost us the biggest fish of the day. At this point the captain asked if I wanted to add time so we could go fishing for Mahi at which I was surprised because we had discussed this being the main target for the day when I booked and on the way out. Overall satisfied with the day fishing because we brought back over 30 fish and everyone’s arms were getting tired! I would suggest getting the 8 hour or more trip and ask to not stop for Bonito on the way out to greater your chance of catching Mahi if that’s your target species for the trip.

We had an awesome trip! I was a bit worried reading around that fishing might not be good this time of year, but about an hour in we landed a HUGE sailfish! We were also able to get some decent sized Mahi-mahi! Crew was awesome, provided drinks & made my Husband & I some ceviche. Be sure to book the full 8 hours if you want big game!

Was a great trip, caught a bunch of fish.  Captain very knowledgeable on the bay.  Also enjoyed a bit of snorkeling.  Highly recommend.
