Last year (14years old) we had a blast. Alf ( the captain of our boat) and Chris ( super to had “chain of command. My 14 years old was like a pro after the attention he received Alex and Chris.

Our current trip was planned on the availability of Alex and Chris and we were well attended too and we snagged 9 Mahi Mahi.

We almost bagged a Marlin (the Marlywas able to escape.

Finally, Jared (owner and senior captain accompanied every need we asked for!

Going out we knew it would be choppy, and Capt Alex gave us a realistic assessment of conditions. Crew was ready on time, enthusiastic and welcoming. We went out to fish for live bait, then moved on to target Mahi Mahi and landed a couple fairly quickly. Things slowed down and we moved to trolling, but didn’t have any luck - and the seas picked up. We decided to cut the trip a little short, BUT the crew did all they could and were willing to follow our lead. Not the results we hoped for, but that’s sometimes fishing. Alex and Chris were great!

Very cool and knowledgeable guys kept us safe and we had tons of fun. These guys work their butts off! We were really impressed. Boat was great too. We started catching live bait (mackerel) first about 20 or 30 which happened fast and even that was exciting.they got is to some really deep waters and man it paid off. It was my daughter, son and myself and we just can’t stop thinking about how cool it was. Full day is a long day. We took dramamine before we went and took some with us which I think really helped. Water was a little rough which made for good fishing. My son is an avid outdoorsman and this added to his experience. The ocean is a different beast than the Rocky Mountains. We went to catch fish and have some fun and we sure did have a lot of both! Killer catch! 2 Ahi, 2 Tuna, 22 Mahi Mahi (I think that’s right) …not a shabby day at all!
We had two Ahi on lines at the same time. Watching Alex and Chris manage that chaos was awesome. Quite the adrenaline rush!
They can weigh out 40 lbs and then filet what you want to take home. We have fish for days! Tip them well this is back breaking work and they do this on the regular. Thanks so much memories to last forever!

The guys were all ready to go at 5:30 and it was a nice day, sun shining and warm.  They were great with explaining the program and were professional and very efficient with catching fish.  We loaded up with live bait which turned out to be the mahi’s choice that day.  We also hooked up on a good size Marlin with a light rig and lost it but brought in 10 mahe’s for the day.

For non-fishing family, we had a fun experience and having a larger boat than many we saw, was a big plus with safety and maneuverability around the boat.  I would highly recommend Alex and Joel as fun and hard-working operators.  These guys had 5 poles with lures going most of the time and quickly switched over to live bait when we spotted some mahe’ fish.

For anyone who has not been deep sea fishing, or on a boat ever or anyone who is visiting Hawaii- keep your expectations in check. Deep sea fishing is not like fishing on a lake or in a river. The boat will list high and low and it will rain, sometimes you will feel uncomfortable, you will be tired, the sun is hot…. Come prepared for all of the above and please take your motion sickness medication the day before and morning of. Deep sea fishing is an intense workout. Lol.
I have nothing but praise for this operator. Safety was priority number 1. I brought my 2 sons for a 1/2 day charter, my younger sons 16th birthday.

Both crew members were very knowledgeable and communicated what was going on very clearly. They also were generous knowledge-wise with the local fishing situation and techniques which I appreciated very much because although I live on Oahu I have no experience deep sea fishing. I appreciated the education. The boat is very clean, no odor at all which is amazing, and had comfortable seats for the cruise.

We had a high wind swell for most of our trip but the captain was able to navigate that no problem, I am really impressed how they were able to set the lines without skipping a beat.

I am not totally sure if this was by accident or intention but I communicated via the app before this trip that I was looking to hook an ahi and mahi mahi for this trip but that is exactly what we got. They knew right where to go. Fishing isn’t easy so this was so impressive to me!!

We would up with a 120lb yellow fin tuna and a mahi mahi. Probably around 10lbs I’m not totally sure.

The crew made the trip fun, educational and clean up, resetting was like a machine. These guys know what they are doing.  I would recommend them to others.

You can go with someone “cheaper” but you get what you pay for. I would book again. Fish on!!
