This team knows their business. They are professional operators, Captain and crew, that want to put you on the fish. The boat is setup great for sport fish and bottom fish. Randy knows the water and the way the fish move through it. Max and Javier are great mates and took every care of us as guests. We had a full boat and a great run, we would recommend Talking Fish to anyone thinking about a charter in Tamarindo.

We went out with the primary goal of fishing for dinners during our stay, and the mission was accomplished. When the captain says he can guarantee grouper on the Rock fishing, he means it. The only mildly disappointing thing was that our meat had bones in it, but that could just be inevitable and is no reason not to book this charter. Highly recommend, and would book again next time I’m in town.

Hi Alex, so glad you enjoyed your day. When we filet the grouper the crew takes out the big bone lines but leaves the very small line, to be taken out at home before you cook the fish. The reason is that it’s best to do that on a stable environment, trying to do that on the rocky boat usually results in hacking off too much meat. We hope you enjoyed your dinner!

WOW WOW WOW! My usual guys were not available this trip. I did the homework, read the reviews and looked at the ratings. Captain Randy did not disappoint. He lived up to all of it. I’ve gone out with a lot of Tamarindo and Playa Flamingo guides and pretty much knew what to expect. My expectations for this time of year were some sailfish maybe mahi maybe yellowfin. Capt. Randy, Max, and Javier took great care of us! We caught five 20-30lb snowy groupers and several other fish. It was a fantastic day out on the water. Capt. Randy is an expert in these waters and knew how to put us on the bite. We starting catching on our very first drop. Highly recommend Capt.
