My boyfriend and I went out with Captain Clyde for 6 hours, and we had a wonderful day with him! He taught us a lot about the sea life, took us to beautiful spots among the mangroves, gave us pointers when we hooked a fighter, and made sure we had fun in the process! We look forward to booking with him again when we make it back down to Islamorada!

Captain Mike was very accommodating and helpful. After booking a Saturday trip that we thought was a Sunday trip Captain Mike informed us that we missed our charter. He was able to work it out so we could make the trip on Sunday. Captain Mike was a pleasure to be around and was more than willing to answer any questions we had. We had a great day and I was able to snag a Tarpon at the end of the trip. We fought it for an hour and 20 minutes before the line snapped.

I was trying for an inshore slam and we started the day out with a 5lb bonefish with numerous bites. Captain Michael then netted some live bait and we caught a 50lb tarpon 5 minutes after setting up. We could have spent the day catching tarpon but I was on a mission and captain Michael was doing everything in his power to make sure I achieved my goal. In the end the permit eluded us but not for a lack of trying. Captain Michael was a competent, methodical, experienced guide! I will definitely look him up next time I want to get on the fish. I will also recommend him to anyone who is coming this way and wants to enjoy their trip. Thank you, Captain Michael

My son and I had a great day with Captain Clyde who entertained us with some fishing stories and a lot of information about fishing in the area. We saw wildlife including dolphins and a baby shark. We fished in the flats and around the mangrove islands. We caught a variety of fish including ocean trout, red snapper, catfish, yellow jack and a snook. Was a great day with lots of memories with my son. Thanks Capt Clyde!!!

Captain Clyde was a fantastic guide. He took us to a few different spots and let us know that the fish were not biting too well today (we were fishing from 1:00 to 5:00). The first spot he took us was a big hit as we all caught about 5 or 6 fish. The second spot we went too was a gold mine. The three of us caught at least 40 fish, no joke. We threw in and were reeling within 30 seconds.

Captain Clyde was fantastic with the kids. Our youngest is very talkative and the Captain rolled with him. It was quite hysterical. I highly recommend Florida Backcountry Fishing, and Captain Clyde!
