This was our first ocean fishing trip ever so I read manny reviews. We chose Captain Brian for all his personal experiences and professionalism. He showed us all that and more. He made our experience more like the grand finally of our trip to San Diego. Our search started with finding the blue fin and getting on it. He found them and all the excitement was there right in front of us. His seasoned skill presented itself emediatly. Locating 80 to 100 lbs tuna boiling on waters edge. What a great experience he gave to my son and nephew, seeing the action of offshore fishing. Memories that will last a lifetime. Target one completed he moved us all to target two. The rock fish. Within minutes he had us over on productive waters catching all kinds of beautiful rock fish with little to no effort. My son 11yrs old was realing in one of his target fish, the Lingcod. Words can not describe the complete pleasure we had on the ocean with Captain Brian and his ability to make us feel as part of his family.
Captain Brian had everything mapped out and prepared to complete a perfect day on his boat. He is great with kids and such a great individual. This was a once in a lifetime experience for me and my family but after this trip it only makes us want to do it again. Captain Brian’s friendship was more like a brother to me.  The weather on our scheduled day was unfavorable and not advised so we didn’t go out. We stayed an extra day in San Diego the day when weather was more favorable and Captain Brian fit us in. We are so greatful for his understanding and we will never forget what a great experience he let us have.
For us it was more about the experience. I would give him a ten star for giving us what we came for. This has been a time I will never forget. Thank you Brian. We will always contact you on our next trip.

Great trip. Brian pulled out all the stops to get us a bite on a day when they just wouldn’t. Brian was kind, funny, knowledgeable and determined to get us something to bring home. We fished for basically another half day for free since we didn’t get lucky on target species. At the end of the day, we still caught a couple species of fish that we’re very happy with. I definitely recommend him and we’ll certainly be back on the Fin Runner again.

Brian is an extremely hard working and knowledgeable captain. We fished hard under tough conditions. The bite was slow, but we went after our catch all day long. Our group really appreciated Brian’s efforts that day.
The only downside to the experience was that there is not a head on the vessel. All other aspects of the boat and equipment were top quality.
We would fish with Brian again and would highly recommend his services to anyone wanting to experience fishing on a boat where yours is the only group. We definitely received the trip we expected and more.
