Captain Rick and his deck hand were very accommodating and eager to get us on some fish. Even though we only caught a couple snapper and I got sea sick 🤢 it was still a cool experience.

Overall our group caught a lot of fish which was very nice. The Captain was salty. The mate worked very hard. The boat has “lots of miles” on it. The equipment was functional but not special. Our group was a bit uncomfortable as it appeared the Captain and the Mate were having relationship issues. Trip was just a bit shorter than advertised.

I picked this trip because it was the longest least expensive for this day and the reviews were good.

We are pleased with an “average” trip for the money we paid. The captain could very easily make this a very very excellent trip for the money but he’s been out there a long time… :)

This was the first experience for me and my grandsons at offshore fishing; my son who accompanied us had fished offshore before but not on a charter.  I was a little put off by the condition of the boat and fishing tackle but Captain Rick worked to get us catching fish.  There were 5 of us and we all caught at least 3 fish.  The action from the Snapper was really exciting but, unfortunately, they were not in season and all were released, as were 3 sharks and a barracuda.  We got to keep a King Fish and a Trigger Fish which made great fish tacos.

We were looking for a nice afternoon out with our four kids (aged 5-10) and Rick and his first mate Dan came through for us. Both are super friendly, experienced fishermen. While we didn’t catch the sharks we were after there were plenty of blues, catfish and big hard fighting sail cats (10 pounds) to thrill the kids. Special tip of the cap to First mate Dan who was really great with the kids and made it a fun, exciting day.
