We were fishing lots of bites so he knows where to go just didn’t get that many fish .Highly recomend
John was very friendly and knowledgeable about fishing. After catching some live bait he took us to three different spots to drop our lines. This split up the morning very nicely. John was very on top of making sure everyone’s line was baited and ready. The fishing was a little tough that day but we did manage to catch some smaller fish. Overall I think it was a very good experience.
My husband, son and I fish and we were looking for a fishing experience but ended up spending almost an hour trying to find bait then was told to drop the live bait on the line over board and instructed to put the rod in the holder and not touch it until it looked like there was a fish on the line. For any one that’s ever been fishing and looking to have an active fishing trip, don’t use this company. 3 undersized fish for 6 people over 4 hours of fishing in the harbour. We literally wouldn’t have been more that 1km from the marina at any time. Unfortunately a very disappointing experience.

Hi Leona and thanks for the review. As indicated on the briefing, all charters begin with the collection of live bait. Success getting the live bait is the single most important part of the outing. It usually takes between 30 and 45 mins to get this job done. Sometimes just one single cast. There have been times, very rarely, when live bait is so elusive that we simply have to use backup frozen bait. Fortunately that did not happen on the day. Yes it took about 45 mins to get the livies, but we DID GET THEM. After 20 years of experience,I have found that putting the baited rods in the rod holder results in more hookups. We give you that as a courtesy tip, however if you prefer to hold your rod than that is fine. You mention only three undersize fish for the trip. You don’t mention the missed strikes that could have been legal size fish. Over the past 20 years there have been trips when no fish were caught and indeed even strikes were few and far between. That is fishing, you mention that ‘‘you fish’’ so I would assume that you know and understand that. You also mention that you would not have been more than 1Km from the marina. I believe you may have been mistaken by where the marina was located,as the on board GPS Tracker shows four different locations were fished and that 12.5 miles were travelled in total. On every charter we try our best to get anglers hooked up to quilty fish! We do this by using the best bait possible and by putting you on the spot most likely to produce. The other factors, like the weather and tides and the actual fishing are out of our control. Your disparaging comment about not wanting others to try this charter is disappointing. I believe that when compared to the other positive comments prospective anglers will decide for themselves. Best Regards Paradise Sportfishing Cairns

Fish weren’t biting but Ben made the trip enjoyable with good local knowledge. Really enjoyed today’s trip.
