Was not a good weather day to fish. Small craft advisory was coming in. Wife lasted until the waves hit 2 plus feet. Captain Mark slow trolled her back. She was happy about that. We went back out to find some fish. They weren’t there. Captain Mark asked what I wanted to do. I said, “put me on the fish”. He did. We went deep. We went shallow. We changed rods and reels. We changed baits and colors. We hopped from one reef to another. The Captain was non-stop trying to find the fish. He found them for me. I could not have been happier with his efforts or the results. Even on the worst of fishing days, Captain Mark got fish into the boat. I will be booking again. Can’t wait to see how he does on a good day!

Our first ever Lake Erie charter. I chose this charter because after looking at the different size boats and cost of the charter, this one seemed perfect. A 22 ft 300 HP Yamaha, Deep V Skeeter that was only $400 for a full day of fishing. The boat seats 3. The Captain who does not sit much, and seats for 2 others. I’m not certain he would take more than 2 but if you are a party of 2 I highly recommend Mark. If your party is larger you may want to talk with the captain, from what we saw his set up is for 2. My wife and I fish 3 to 4 times a week on our own new bass boat on the finger lakes but we wanted some walleyes. Mark was waiting at the launch at 7 AM. as we made our way out of the marina, Mark gave us a rundown of the history of the area. Mark’s preferred style of fishing is bottom bouncing with his own hand made worm harnesses. We had several hits but no hook ups for the first hour. Then in the next 4 and a half hours we boated our 18 fish limit of walleyes ranging from legal to about 21 inches. Our only regret was not taking a photo of the cooler chuck full of walleyes, and maybe the fact that we were done after 5 and a half hours. I asked Mark how many walleyes he gets on average each time out and he said 10. We also boated about 8 drums and 2 silver bass. If your thinking of an Erie charter for walleye’s give Mark a chance, I know we will book with him again.

Captain Mark is an exceptional captain and fisherman. Had a great time fishing with him and filled the cooler up. He is very good at what he does and highly recommend!
Captain Marc put us on some nice Walleye. He is very knowledgeable of the waters and some great fishing spots. A great time was had by all, can’t wait to our next excursion!
Tough day with weather but Captain Mark still accommodated our schedule and did his best. Caught a few fish but would definitely return on a nicer day with Mark. Thanks!
