New deck, paint outside and inside, and some yearly maintenance on trim tabs, helm. She is ready to catch em' up in style. Back in the water 2/5/2023.

Steph and Gina (with the big red) fished a 4 hr offshore with the MisStress out of St. Augustine FL last Monday (15MAR’21). We fished 9 miles out and caught weakfish, black sea bass, red snapper (season closed), a grouper (season closed) and went 1 for 4 on the big teds. It was Gina’s birthday so it was her turn. The ocean was “ Lake Atlantic” for us and on the ride in we saw a large fin come up and I swung the boat around to investigate, it was a Giant Sunfish (approx 4-500 pounds). This is only the 4th one of these I’ve seen in less than 200’ of water. FANTASTIC end to a very good day.

We decided to fish a little closer in due to forcasted increasing seas (was actually 2-3’ all day and was forcast 3-5’). Pulled up to an offsore spot only a few miles out and it was “Game On” from the first bait hitting the bottom. We fished light 10# spinners to match the tackle to the fish. Useing 1/4 and 3/8 once jigs in 30’ of water it was a blast catching 1-3+ pound weakies. We had a couple of short black sea bass as well and a couple bites we couldn’t turn too. Kept 53 and released in good shape over 100. Excellent fishing in anyones book.
