We have had an amazing early run of King Mackerel and Spanish Mackerel on the beaches of Oak Island and Bald Head Island. A lot of Spanish are ranging from 3-5 pounds with most fishing being 15-20 inches. Plenty of fish to catch on the nicer days to get off the beach nearshore. Bait is showing up close and the King Mackerel have made their appearance. A lot of BIG Kings have been caught this past week. Hurry up and book your trip for May. Our NC Cobia season opened today May 1st. We will look for those as we troll/drift for Sharks and Mackerel.
