It was a great pleasure to be out on the water again after a year and half of restrictions. We were out looking for the schools of skipjacks and yellow fins and wahoos along the drop off but did not see any though they are usually there at this time of the year.We moved to deeper waters and found some dorados who were not interested at all in our various offerings. Shortly afterwards we had a marlin strike on a lure close to the boat but the hook did not get the fish.With some surface activity in that area we kept working that spot and came along school of sperm whales that were sunbathing on the surface.At 12:20 a nice blue marlin took a lure on the long rigger and took about 700mts of line off the reel in seconds.It was game on.An hour and twenty minutes later we were happy to pull aboard an estimated 450lbs marlin to the delight of Mr Stephen and his family .It was a dream come true for the angler who had put all his effort and technique to subdue his first marlin.
