We were fishing 5 miles out front of Port Everglades, we started fishing after finding a giant weed line. We were trolling rigged Ballyhoo and Bonita strips with sea witches. After about 35 minutes with no bites; we received our first strike. Turns out we found a big school of dolphin, in the 5-10LB range. After catching our fill, we headed straight for the inlet with a cooler full of fresh Mahia. We eneded up with 10 Mahia Mahia, we released 6 or 7 which were smaller. Making it back to the dock before 11 am. The very next day we had a snapper trip, I heard the snappers were biting, and I had to see it for myself. We were fishing live Pilchards on the bottom in 130Ft of water. After about 30 minutes of fishing we catch our first mutton snapper, with non stop action until we left. We eneded up with 12 nice mutton snappers, and 2 nice black fin tunas. The summer Bite Has been HOT, with aproaching fall bite on its way.
LETS GO FISHING!!!
