Out Like a Lion!
März 31, 2024
Things are finally falling into line weatherwise and we finish out March with a roar on the flounder. Safe to say for the next eight weeks most of our efforts will be for the delicious flatfish. Aloha!

Early Start to Season!
März 27, 2024
Despite cool wet conditions, spring fishing has gotten off to an early start. We boated our first keeper flounder on March 12th, and followed that with a gator-sized 26 inch grey weakfish (seatrout) just a few days later. Good sized striped bass (rockfish) continue to show up when the water clears. As we move towards April hopefully the weather will break and get us more time on the water. Aloha!

Earning Our Stripes!
Februar 15, 2024
February is mid-winter, there is no hiding from it. The crisp fall fishing is a fading memory, the first flounder of the coming season still a month away. Temptation is to run to the Keys for some sun-baked bonefish, but a trickle of hardy anglers keeps us frozen in place. Fortunately, there is one species still willing to play. Striped bass (rockfish locally) still manage to shake off the chill and chew a little on warm sunny mid-days. If you'd like to try, or just want to get out for a while, love to have you. But be forwarned: this is not windbreaker season! Time to layer up, heavy gloves, warm hats that'll stick to your head, and trade the cooler of beer for a thermos of coffee or beef broth. Hopefully the days will start to warm soon (we're supposed to have a string of days in the 50s this week). If frozen fingers is not your thing, be sure to stop in to The Seaside Boat Show in Ocean City this weekend. See our friends, Monty Hawkins with the O.C. Reef Project, Scott Lennox with "Hooked On O.C." and the Roy Rigging Big Bird Cropper. Aloha

An Early Start in '24!
Februar 2, 2024
The Groundhog has spoken and the fish concur, it is to be an early spring. Went the entire month of January with hardly a bite, only to have multiple fish to hand the first two days of February. The water is cold but not frigid. If we can keep the ice away for a few more weeks the water should approach warm enough to start watching for black drum and flounder. Until then, we'll just have to keep after these big strong stripers. Tomorrow, off to Lake Erie to try some winter steelhead. Aloha!

New In '24!
Januar 1, 2024
The depth of winter is settling upon us. The striped bass (rockfish) bite is still there for those hardy enough to brave the chill. Looks like some redfish and bonefish excursions south are in our near future. For the coming season we've made some changes. We've lowered our extra person pricing by $10 to encourage larger groups and family outings. Also, we've added pick up/drop off service at your waterfront location. Just let me know where on the water your staying and if the water is deep enough I'll pick you up at your dock. New for shark season, we've upgraded our big game rods with 2 brand new matching Penn 30lb rods that can handle the big ones! Nows the time to book, plenty of dates are still open.

Fishing Between The Ducks
November 19, 2023
As November grows short, most outdoorspersons have stowed the fishing rods and moved on to waterfowling. But, there are still fish around for the hardy. Put on your long skivveys and goosedown and let's get after the flounder and rockfish (striped bass). Up north, the dry fall had slowed the Steelhead along with the creekflows, but recent rains should bring up water levels. Aloha
