What would you recommend to anglers fishing in West Palm Beach, Florida for the first time?

The day we went out was after a full moon so the biting was a bit slow but the captain was knowledgeable about the reefs and types of fishing and we still managed to get a fair few bites. Reccomend calling and asking about conditions and if it’s a good time to go out.

This was.my first trip to west palm beach fishing, but I was not impressed with the numbers of fish being caught. Checked on several boats coming in and each had 2 or 3 fish. Most people said winter fishing is tough. I'm not planning on doing much ocean fishing in Jan or Feb any more.

Be sure to keep well hydrated during the month of August. Wear sunscreen and a hat to cover your head so you don't overheat. Clouds definitely help keep the temperatures down, but plan on being in the sun for extended periods of time. Ask your captain to fish in shady areas near mid day to help prevent heat exhaustion. Ladies should consider wearing clothing that may make it easier to use the restroom in the water or find some other means to use the restroom while on the boat.

Neither my friend nor I have put a line in the water for nearly a decade. Fllargemouth Charters had us geared up, bait on, and on fish within 10 minutes off the boat launch. Great instincts, and great experience.

It can go real well or be a grueling day on the wAter. Gotta pay to play and results will vary, go into it with the mindset that you might just be going on a nice boat ride, or you might catch a ton of fish

This is a good trip for a first time fisherman! We all participated in the catch and I was able to make some really beautiful food with what we caught.

Wear a hat and a lightweight, long sleeve shirt. No amount of sunscreen will save you for 4 hours on the water. And bring plenty of water to drink.

Not many bites but we had one good one and it was fun. If you’re out there just to fish probably wouldn’t have been a very good trip.

Sea state matters! Even though offshore fishing can be challenging having the right captain and boat makes life on the water more enjoyable.

Go catch some peacock bass and clown knife fish it is so much fun and a lot of fish the offshore fishing is kind of slow and not many fish

You never know what to expect out on the water and florida whether changes all the time, but I recommend going early! Very very early!

The weather matters! The unseasonable cool and rain started the week off slow but the warm up and that made the last part great.

Great trip, everyone caught lots of fish. A couple of largemouth bass were of very good size. Definitely would book again.

Make sure you’re in shape because these fish will really make your arms burn! You can target a certain fish, but that doesn’t mean that will be what bites.

Bring sun protection as always and dress in light layers cooler mornings turn very warm fast. Expect to see alot of wildlife from Great Blue Herons to small turtles.
