What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Linwood, Michigan for the first time?

We had a exceptional day for mid September according to our captain but I know him and his crew worked extremely hard to get us in fish and keep us there there was 5 of us who they kept laughing and enjoying the day it does not get better than that

Go with an experienced captain and no matter what you know before you get there, let the crew work. They are on the water every day and know what they are doing. Follow their recommendations and remember that it is called "fishing" and not"catching".

This is off season a bit. But its beautiful out on the water. The guys are working really hard to get fish

August is a tough bite because the Saginaw bay is shallow and the water begins to get rather warm in August. June is the best month to fish the bay.

If you're going out in the middle of July try to book a morning trip when the sun isn't so high in the sky and the heat is tolerable.

We stayed overnight in Bay City and just did the short drive to Linwood for our fishing trip, very nice area!!

The Linwood personnel were very respectful & courteous. Provided cart rides to and from dock launch. Store was very clean & oeganized

Get with Captian Bob, he has all the equipment you need. Just show up with your fishing license and be prepared for a fun day on the river.

During this time of year expect the unexpected with weather. Bring a hoodie and a rain jacket. Don't be afraid to go out in a little rain.

We experienced trolling at Linwood which is not very interactive for beginner anglers; if you are looking for being more active then you need to look someplace else.

i would recommend any one new to walleye fishing or veteran fisherman to use the area.to launch out of Linwood

4 stars only because this is Bay fishing for walleye only and the advert/target included Salmon. We'll go again but earlier in the year.

Go a little earlier in the year. The fish should be biting a little more consistently.

Bring sunscreen and dramamine just in case the waves kick up a bit! The fish are definitely there!
