What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Branson, Missouri for the first time?

Having a guide that has experience, knows the area, provides a boat and all the fishing gear you need. It makes traveling so much easier when you don’t have to being all of the fishing gear with you.

Definitely do it. I loved how big and beautiful the lake was I'm more of an out doors person so having this option to go on a fishing trip while being in Branson was great! It was cold but was still a blast and still caught nice bass.

Yes I would recommend fishing in Branson. It was a little slow due to the cold water but crappies are due to spawn shortly guide was very professional boat was great. Scenery and weather was absolutely perfect I would recommend fishing Branson and with a guide could easily get lost on this Lake if you don't know it.

I booked this trip with no expectations just wanting to get on the water for the experience. Catching fish was the bonus.

Hire a guide like Cody Spetz to learn tactics, equipment and technique. After that you’ll be ready to go on your own.

If fishing before middle of April be sure to bring some warm clothes. If bringing your own gear bring multiple types of lures.

Read the refs and know what species you want to chase. We chose Paddlefish and had a great time. Missouri is very out of stater friendly.

Just show up. Captain Eric will handle the rest. He was very informative about the area and gave my 12 year old great tips for fishing while he was pulling in the big ones. Awesome time!!!

There are lots of fish to be caught if you know where and how. It’s definitely worth hiring a guide to start with.

Fishing is very good, but weather can fluctuate from really nice to freezing, which was the case today when we fished

Not sure what to say, this is my first fishing trip in branson and it was a bummer day as far as biting goes. Guide worked hard and tried, just wasn't our day

It was a beautiful and cold day. I love Branson this time of year. This was my first time to fish Table Rock in the winter and it was totally worth it.

The weather is fantastic but the fishing from mid-October to mid-November is tough doing because the daily weather changes.

Definitely hire a guide service -- it really makes a difference. They know where the fish are and you will most likely catch some nice fish to take home and enjoy for dinner!

October fishing in Branson is more dependent on the weather than anything else so you need to be patient and understand that some things are out of our control.

Bring appropriate clothing with rain gear, good pair of sunglasses, sun screen and the right attitude! you’ll be sure to have a great time!

We went on a Saturday. I think I would avoid going on a Saturday and I would definitely recommend a guide!! The guide made our trip so much more enjoyable

Book a good guide that has experience. It’s a tough time of the year to catch them because it’s so hot. The good ones will still get you on some fish.

It’s very hot and some spots are regulated to where only certain jigs, no live bait or power bait are allowed.

Branson is beautiful, Table Rock lake is stunning and the people are incredibly nice and hospitable.

Morning fishing seems like it’s the key. Foggy on the water and cool in the morning before the sun got it done for us.

Bring plenty of sunscreen. More water to drink if needed. The guide will show you the best places to fish, trust the equipment it works. Overall have a great time.

I would wait another week or two for the walleye. Or talk to the captain about when a good time for trout but would highly recommend fishing with captain Eric. He was phenomenal

Get a guide with a lot of experience. Different places fish differently. Be open to trying something new.

New anglers start with the two hour trip targeting trout. More experienced anglers take the four hour trips targeting the many other species of fish available in the area.

I'll tell you what we where told after catching 3 fish in almost 4 hours. It's the wrong time of year. Fall is better than summer and spring is better than fall.

Fish Table Rock if you want to target small mouth bass and Taneycomo if you want to catch brown and rainbow trout.
