Dress in layers and have a warm coat and gloves if fishing in winter. The wind can make the temps feel quite chilly. Consider bringing a thermos of your favorite hot beverage for an extra treat. Enjoy the scenery. Take pics if the bites slow.

Hire a guide and preferably Fishin Addiction or J M Guide service. Otherwise, you wil have a had time locating fish in this large, deep lake. A person could do it yourself and be years learning the lake well enough to be successful.

Book a guided fishing trip to have a good time actually catching fish and lots of fish.

The best white bass fishing is lower part of the lake south of Hwy 190. Fishing around the old hwy 190 and some of the submerged lakes are good spots. Get a topical map of the lake.

Lake Livingston is a premier destination for white bass. It only takes a short amount of time to limit out. Especially with Captain John Bolton.

We picked a day based on our personal availability, not based on the optimal time for our targeted fish. Recommend fishing Livingston in May and June for optimal activity.

Book with a quality guide, it makes for a better experience when you go with someone who knows the lake.

Book with these guys, but the Stripers are not there. They are almost all caught out of this lake.

Definitely book a trip with Captain John for coffee this time of year we slated them.
