What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Grand Isle, Louisiana for the first time?

It rained hard the night before our trip, so the water was a bit more murky than our captain expected. But he was still able to put us on a lot of fish. The wind was a bit rough, so we couldn't go offshore like we originally wanted, but inshore was a hit. The ride home across the bay was a little bumpy but my boys loved the adventure and water in their faces.

Talk to the captain let him know what you want Let him explain to you what to expect and why.then hopefully they will have a fun time like we did. We are cooking some of the fish right now .it all smells and looks so good. Jena

If you’re targeting tuna, you’re going to have about a 2 hour ride to the locations, so be prepared for that.

If you are bringing kids make sure they have access to a dock, crab traps, and a cast net.
