What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Grand Baie for the first time?

Just go for it.if you have a great leader like we did in Captain Avi and the boys at Horizon Maurice you really can't go wrong. Brilliant time, brilliant location, brilliant people. All in all just BRILLIANT ?

The best Blue Marlin season even though it is still hard to catch. Fortunately full day fishing you can catch something else too. At least for us sea conditions were nice but sun is really burning. Better got a boat with suncover.

Look out for smaller boats, they usually provide better service if you’re interested in serious fishing.

To pick a day where the weather is good failing which be prepared for rough seas and possibility of sea sickness which is unfortunate ??

Patience thats about it, and be prepared to loose a fish or 2, not all fish gets landed..
