Don’t go out fishing with the expectation that you might catch something just because the captain said they caught a bunch of fish the day before. The weather is constantly changing this time of year. Therefore, fishing is changing as well.

Robert Mckinnon
Apopka, FL
I watched this guy work with other captains who were much younger than him and obviously have learned from him. They have a community that work with one another to help each other catch the best that they can catch. This is the guy to go for.

Jennifer Mishkin
Wear tons of industrial strenght sunscreen and bring a rashguard! Also, take arm day at the gym seriously. You will need all of the upper body strength you've got to pull some of these giants in!

End of April was much better than.mid February on our experience. We changed the annual trip for the warmer days, which paid off nicely

Tim Rackler
Las Vegas, NV
Excellent weather but a little rough out there. If you get sea sick come prepared

Dannyelle Howard
Jacksonville, Florida
Just go for the experience, or pick a time or season where you know the fish are biting.

Make sure you are aware of when the kingfish run. I was in the area because of work but if I had a choice I would have come a few week later to troll for them

Blue Springs, MO
It was a little chilly but if you dress wright you won't have a problem. I dressed in layers and was comfortable. Loved it.

Daniel Morgan
Orlando, Florida
Beaver, pear, tree any weather just left the TVC stayed an extra week and only a couple of days of sunshine. Be flexible.

Wayne Jorgenson
Hutchinson, MN
It was a pleasant time to fish. The weather was mild. It seemed like there was a wide variety of fish to target.

Tom Murphy
Santa Rosa, CA
Double check on the season and your target fish but like me I was coming here to visit anyway and hooked onto more fish than I could count.

Get with Captain Rami on the Saturnian and he will give you a great day along with fishing knowledge you can take with you .

Cumming, GA
Have a specific fish that you and your crew want to fish, book a large boat with Buck Rogers Charters.

Thomas Sexton
Mount Pleasant, SC
Understand the variety that you are likely to catch given the length of your trip. Kings and Barracuda were fun to catch but are not my favorite fish to eat!

Allison Harris
Jacksonville Beach, FL
Plenty of charters available with experienced captains and Florida waters have some of the best fishing in the world!

Be mindful of the tides and winds. The tides swing 5+ feet four times a day and that is a WHOLE LOT of water constantly moving

Celena Phillips
Glenwood, GA
Let the Captain know what you’re looking to do and they do the best they can to make it happen!!! Very clean and professional crew!!

Bob Bennett
STRATHMR MNR, KY
Based on my single trip and experience to this area, yes I would recommend my fishing Captain Robert "Robbie" Bishop!

Tommy Crosby
Orlando, FL
Be patient when setting your hook, some fish you just have to let them go with it a pick up and real instead of snatching

Vonce Isom
Elizabethtown, KY
The type of fishing we did was backwater with a depth from 3ft to 20ft. The fishing in the backwater was better than expected. So, yes I would recommend fishing in Jacksonville.

Make sure you have a helper. When they get to biting, it can be one after another. Always good to be able to keep up.

Nathan Hayes
Bend, OR
Choose to book captain daves and remember to put on sunscreen. No matter the top situation, the water still reflects that light.

Michael Gracie
Saint Johns, Florida
Be prepared for changing weather conditions, use sunscreen, hydrate and have fun!

Great opportunity to fish and enjoy just a little of what the Atlantic Ocean has to offer.
