What would you recommend to anglers fishing in Gold Coast, Queensland for the first time?

When you over hear the two young guys running your day ask where do you think we should go, you know that they have not plan there day before hand, drifting most of the trip, circle hooks, very hard to hook a fish. Motor broke down twice on the way back in. No fish at all, disappointed as had family from NZ that hadn’t been on a charter in Australia, definitely will not be using this company again.

I recommend booking a charter in June and taking the family. while the fishermen get some fishing on the ones that just want to sit back and take in the view can enjoy the wonders of the wildlife like dolphins coming right up the boat and whales putting on a show.

Parents of budding young fishos - this ones for you! Captain Vincent was brilliant from start to fish-finish. Including our 5yrold & forever baiting up for us beginners. Couldn't recommend a better family fun fishing charter.

Definitely go with Top Gun, they are very experienced and knowledgeable, Always were ready to share advice and assist where needed. The new fishers were helped and guided expertly. A great day out.

Book direct locally with boat personel Rather than through a USA booking service. Get back to basics and you business will improve.

We caught 19 fish in total They weren’t massive but we weren’t interested in keeping anything anyway. Calm water and got to fishing pretty quickly great for first timers Great day

Give it a go, a great experience especially for young kids and grandparents , a good time will be had by all.

You will get very wet feet so wear weather proof gear, especially shoes (or take them off once on the boat).

Make sure you speak with the skipper about payment and pick-up location! Seemed some info on the generic website can be misleading.

It’s still a bit chilly with the wind but we had a lovely sunny day. We never expect to catch anything as that’s how fishing goes. But we did catch a few so there’s definitely fish around ?

Just do it , you'll love it and be talking about it for days and wanting to do it again asap.

I was lucky to catch some good fish but some others didn’t. But that’s fishing!!
