Captain Bryan was very friendly and helpful. While the fishing was slow, mostly due to the weather, he did what he could to help us land some fish. Although we didn't catch any "keepers", we did catch some good fighters. Would definitely book again.

in 4 hours fishing schedule, 3 hours will spent navigating to the spot and back...will rest just one hour for you really fish. And if you wanna use your lures or jigs, bring your entire tackles (rods, reels, lines etc), since if you just bring your lures/jigs, you WILL NOT gonna be able to use it with the reels/rods offered by the crew (dont me ask why ¬ ¬)

Read all reviews and ask questions. Ask charter if they are fishing ready upon arrivel. Getting fuel and bait takes a good bit of time away from your fishing trip. This should be done before your time starts.

Capt George was a pleasure to fish with. His local knowledge, background and endless effort is what I look for in a fishing Captain.
I would highly recommend booking with him especially if you are a small group of friends or a family. He makes fishing easy and pleasurable. (As always, more fish would have helped.)

Watch the weather. We lucked out and got a nice, dry, but still a bit windy day. (It rained the day before and the day after.) Chose an inshore charter for this reason, 7 foot seas offshore... Been there done that. Great as it is to catch a sailfish, spending the next several hours seasick is not much fun.

We where to that spring time is the best time for off shore fishing in Miami. That would have been helpful to know before hand.

Peacock like something fast and aggressive tarpon and peacocks like live bait like shiners with 15 lb leader and a small hook

The only problem about fishing around Miami in August is a storm can kick up really fast and roll through just as fast as it developed, but it will still put a kink in your plan.

Smaller fish (generall) but overall Florida has a wide variety of fish for all types of fishing.

Bring sunscreen or long thin clothes because it is hot and a lot of sun. If you are not use to the sun you are going to get burnt.

Wear sunblock! Bring a poncho, just in case and come hydrated. Stay hydrated with water and gatorade..especially if you are not used to the humidity. Be prepared to wanna come back for more..

Captain Jorge is the best. Book with him or go somewhere else and don’t catch fish! He had us on fish all day! He is the man!!!

it was a good experience for me and my first time and if you are interested in going out to deep sea fishing in Miami

Book with a company whose crew is knowledgeable with the area, time is limited on tours and the best experience comes from local captains who know their spots, like Let it Fly Bowfishing!

Get the full day or at least the 3/4 day because the first few catches will be a learning experience!

i think the fishing may be better in the morning and not in the afternoon .
No one really caught anything on our boat!

Just get out there. Tell the captain what you’re looking to do and they’ll point you in the right direction.

I was given advice from friends that fishing above the keys would not be that ideal. However, we had a great time and expect to catch more fish in the area soon.

On this particular day it was very windy and not good for shing. But after all it is mother nature. would do it again though

Make sure (the best you can) to get a boat and crew that will work to help you catch fish. It seems the less you pay the less fish you catch.

Alexis George

I recommend that if you want to spend a fishing time with friends or family. Book with you. Helpful and very profecionales.

I think it would have been fine, but when we went out, a storm was brewing and I'm pretty sure that shut some fish down a bit.

Yes, but know your personal limitations. Choppy water is rough if you suffer from motion sickness. Prepare properly and enjoy.

Focus on the guide, not the boat. You don't need a 30ft boat to run around in the Miami bays and get to the good fishing!

Great time for Tarpon due to the shrimp hatch. Beat the heat. Beautiful weather. Fish at night when there isn't any boat traffic.

Fishing can be tough in the hotter months be versatile, and you’ll find fish all day.

Bring sun block and lots of electrolyte drinks. This sun is intense at all times of the day!
