You can still catch great fishes this time of year and with this crew of Jesus and staff just the time out on the water is worth it. I recommend a private charter is it’s within you means of course.

Fishing in Miami is great, but not with this captain and boat.
I recommend thoroughly researching and reading reviews about the captain and boat before booking. Look for captains who are dedicated to providing a great fishing experience, not just rushing through trips. Make sure to confirm the type of boat you'll be on to ensure it meets your expectations. Booking with reputable and highly rated fishing charters will help ensure a successful and enjoyable experience.

If your not sure if you get sea sick or not error in the side of caution. Start meds at least 12 hrs before your trip and again before heading out. I’ve spent a lot of time on lakes and didn’t think I’d have an issue but it got me. Trip was still great but could have been better if I’d felt better.

Bring a good attitude, sunscreen and water. Snacks if necessary. Listen to the captain and crew. They will get you on the fish. Let them know if you want to catch something specific. With kids, it's not daycare and it might take some time to get on the fish.

January isn't a great time to fish, but that's when we were here so we made it work and caught fish! Captain Bryan worked his butt off and took good care of us. Would highly recommend him for any size family you have

Have realistic expectations about what you can get this time of year. Just be happy if you catch something. Sadly, that’s my takeaway from a different outing than the one I just reviewed. Aaron and Michelle listened to what we wanted but also knew we just wanted to something. And they came though.

We highly recommend having an open mind. We come from Northern Ontario Canada and have fished collectively for 3 decades. Fishing is an art - it depends on the weather, barometric pressure, water temperature, if the fish are hungry etc. There are days when you will get skunked - if you ever meet a fisherman who has said they have never gotten skunked - it means one of two things: 1) they are full of beans or 2) they really havent fished that much. Keep an open mind, enjoy the scenery, have no expectations other than having a great day, the advebture and being surrounded by knowledgeable people. Be grateful for the experience and with positive vibes you will be successful no matter what!

Do more than a 4 hour trip if your party is up for it and you really want to catch more fish. For us, it was my teenagers first time, and we were on a short spring break. I'm more of a Fisherman, so could've spent all day in the water with this crew!
Daniel Frohman
Better weather and Crews that are very helpful. It was very pleasures fishing trip.

Look to book spellbound for your next charter. Great boat for the family. Kid friendly and great crew. Fishing Miami was great with a wide range of fish to catch.

Bring medicine to address motion sickness, wear sunblock or long sleeved shirts, and large ziplock bags to store your catch (they will provide none ziplock bags if you forget).
Steve Ruch
Ask about the weather, how to dress and what to bring. Ask about what kind of fish is available and what fish you would prefer to catch.
Chris Wadsworth
I would recommend this boat and this crew to anyone interested in catching fish and enjoying the experience.
Adrian Zendejas
Definitely book your fishing trip with this organization, our captain Jesus was very experienced and made the trip smooth and fun for our group.
Milo Meacham
Captain Chad took extra care to make sure that my grandson landed his beautiful sailfish! Job well done…..

Bring Sunscreen and Sun Protective clothes. Take motion sickness pills JUST IN CASE, nothing worse than ending a trip early while they are biting. Most important have fun and good luck.
Michael Jacob
Book early so you can do it. Last year, we tried booking the week we were visiting, and the good anglers, like Stan, were booked up.
Freddie Clayton
Talk to your captain, trust his knowledge and always enjoy it!! A bad day fishing is better than a good day on land!!
Becky Ward
When the Captain warns you of choppy waters… wear the patch behind your ear!!! Game changer! Have fun and LISTEN to the Captain and first mate!!

Miami Beach is a big city with a lot of fishing charters. You might come home empty handed. You will always have a good time.

Stay hydrated, wear sunblock or long sleeves, and take motion sickness precautions!

Weather can be great or rough. We had 5-10 ft seas which made it a bit sporty at times.
Steve Orr
Hold that pole, bites come fast and hard and if you’re not ready, you’ll miss fish.
Richard Larocque
There are plenty of fishes to be caught but you may have to work a little harder to catch them.
